Bearing industry - CBN tooling for hardened steel flange shafts
Flanged shafts are used to connect the end flanges of the two shaft sections.
WSS CBN tools finish hardened steel flange shafts at a cutting line speed (VC) of 230 m/min, a feed (f) of 0. 13 mm/rev and a machining allowance (Ap) of 0.2 mm, which corresponds to all the finishing realities of hardened steel in common materials. Long service life is achieved with excellent coatings and tough CBN materials based on wear resistance and adhesion; T/L (life time) of 250 pieces is achieved.
